Chief of Work
Most organizations still manage work through separate lenses: HR focuses on people, IT on tools, and Real Estate on place. My work explores a different idea: work itself needs to be designed, measured, and improved across those boundaries. The pieces here examine the emerging “Chief of Work” capability — sometimes visible in a title, often not — as a cross-functional mandate for improving how work actually happens. The goal is not to create a new super-silo, but to clarify ownership of the journeys, rhythms, choices, and operating conditions that shape employee experience and organizational performance. Start here if you believe better work requires more than better handoffs.
